Coasol

 

 

With more attention being paid to solvent usage, high v.o.c. solvents such as Glycol Ethers, Methylene Chloride, Acetone, Cyclohexanone, Isophorone and Hydrocarbon solvents are all subject to increasing restrictions.

COASOL may be used to replace all of the above and other solvents.
COASOL's primary use is as a coalescing agent in water-based coatings.
COASOL is also used in:

● Hard Surface Cleaners               
● Hand Cleaners (Heavy Duty)
●Polishes 
●Floor Wax Strippers
●Ink Cleaners

● Solvent Degreasers
● Carpet Shampoos
● Paint Strippers
● Graffiti Removes 
● Fibreglass Cleaners 
● and many other applications! 

COASOL or blends COASOL with other low-cost solvents can successfully replace the following solvents:

  Coasol is widely used as a coalescing solvent in emulsion and other water based formulations.
  This is  especielly the case where high performance, low odour and low VOC properites are required.

ENVIRONMETAL DATA

COASOL is readily biodegradable as illustrated by the following data using the OECD 301C method.
Biodegradation as % of theoretical oxygen demand.
• BOD 5 day 0.60g/g
• DOC 28 days 98%
  (dissolved organic carben removal)
• Low VOC potential

 

Dibasic ester solvents are defined as photochemically
non-reactive by California South Coast District Rule 102.
